Open Question: Am I competitive for any of the ROTC/Other scholarships? What about high caliber schools?

Hi, I'm interested in every 3 ROTC scholarships but I'm not sure if I'm competitive for them or not. What do you think? And what can I do to improve myself? Also, what about regular scholarships? Am I competitive? GPA: 3.4 Unweighted, (school doesn't do weighted GPAs) ACT: 29 (aiming for a 30 in June) AP Tests: English Language: 4, US History: 5, US Government: 5, World History: 5 Top 10% of class Marching Band: 4 years -Currently the Field Commander for the band. Symphonic Band: 3 years Jazz Band: 3 years Model United Nations: 3 years Students for a Free Tibet: 2 years Swing Dancing Club: 1 year Rugby Team: 1 year Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese's: working 15-20 hours per week and I'm team2, which means that I'm a leader at my position and I train new workers. Also, what about colleges? I'm mostly applying to in-state colleges but my dream school is George Washington. Do you think I have a chance?

in my dream i had a doll a rag doll its name was dolly it was alive and i was fine with it me and a man wer sitting at a round table dolly talked back to him he sent it to the basement for punishment when the doll came back up it had pictures of decomposing people the man looked at him disturbed and asked him "d-d-olly, what were you doing down there?" in a real weird voice dolly smiled dolly started attacking his face and had sex with it i was sitting there frozen then a really tall giant man walked out of the basement and grabbed him dragged him down there i was hearing screams then the giant came up grabbed me by my hair and brought me down tortured me indescribable then i woke up i feared for my life at 3 am. i didnt want to go back to snooze then i tried not to but i fell back to snooze i swear i dont think ive ever been so scared i felt like praying but i felt so scared i have dreams like these every the time ANYbody with experience with the tarot or science er god pleeeease !!!! im only 13 and ive seen so much with these dreams

Open Question: Is it possible to change the DNA in a Adult and your changes are reflected on the person?

Well for the past 8-10 weeks I keep having a dream about a lot of things, Its going to sound crazy but I keep dreaming that I edit my DNA to give me superman like powers. Now my question is, is there actually a possibility that someone could go in a change the structure of DNA so your Genes change lets say for example: You change there Genes for hair color from brown to blonde that it would in turn when the cells multiply it gets the new DNA therefore growing blonde hair? or something close to that?

[That one person would be the one giving the dog the most training, attention, and care, but not the only one.] Wary enough of strangers that if a stranger is in the home, they will make sure the odd person is known to the people in the home, but not so aggressive that the dog will be unable to make friends out of the family, or allow strangers to pat him. Open Question: How often are Muse in the US?

Muse is my favorite band, and just last weekend they were playing a show only an hour from where I live. However, I'm only fourteen and neither of my parents would steer me, so I wasn't able to go. I'm really unhappy that I missed out on this chance, because it doesn't seem that they're in the US every too often. I just recently started following their tour schedule (seeing as there wasn't much wish that I would be able to go a year or two ago, as my parents thought it was "innapropriate), so I'm not really sure. Is there any chance that they could be returning at some point during The Resistance Tour? It's a dream of mine to look them live, and I keep getting worried that I'll have to wait years, or until they release another album before they arrive back to the States.

Open Question: College freshman who feels lost, doesn't know what to major in, and wants to know life's purpose. Please Help?

Hello everyone! I am 18 and a freshman in college. I did really well in high school and never thought I would have this much trouble deciding on what to major in. I have joined a fraternity and have made many friends since starting school, which has been a lot of fun. But, lately I have been thinking about life and how I want to make the most of mine. I have absolutely no idea what I want to major in or what type of career field to go into. There are so many things that interest me! I could look myself doing so many different things! It is on my mind constantly and it is very stressful. Last semester, I took some personality and career tests. I am an ENFP on the Myers-Briggs scale. This every fits when I think about it. I am a very outgoing, social person. I adore talking to people and learning about them. I adore making them giggle. It just comes so naturally to me. I am very nice, probably sometimes too nice for my possess good. I have also done various exercises trying to figure out what my purpose in life is. Sometimes it is difficult for me to recognize my talents and gifts. Cliche it may be, but I truly want to make a difference in the world. I want to look the world! Every last bit of it! I have tried really difficult to think about what I can look myself doing as a career and I arrive up with many ideas! I think it would be great to go to nursing school, then receive my masters degree and work in dermatology. With my RN I could also receive my MBA and then work in hospital administration, which appeals to me, too. I think it would be awesome to be an Anthropologist or a college professor or a photographer! I have thought about going to dental school. You can major in anything as long as you take the pre-requisites. I have thought about maybe doing psychology/pre-dent just incase dental school doesn't work out, I will have a good thing to fall back on. I sometimes doubt myself and tell myself I can't do certain things because they might be difficult. Another thing that is on my mind: I want to have my "dream job" (whatever that may be) but also make a significant amount of income. I want to have a nice home and a luxury car some day. I know I am only 18 and "have lots of time to figure it out", but really, I don't. I don't want to be that fifth or sixth year senior. I just wish this were easier. I wish I knew what it is that I am meant to do with my life. Although I realize that this has to be ultimately my decision, if anyone could give me any advice, I would appreciate it tremendously. Open Question: Dream interpretation: Great white shark?

Me and some family and friends were swimming at the beach. Then a great white shark comes towards us, we go onto land and suddenly the shark starts lunging and jumping forward onto the land. Then we are running up to the hotel. Me and a few others hide in the closet, it seems the shark is only after us or maybe just me b/c somehow it gets its self up the stairs and outside the door. Open Question: How do i get rid of these dreams?

So i've been using the previous answer i got for this question by thinking glad thoughts and listening to music. Doesn't work. I have it every night. My dreams aren't about 1 specific person. It's about like everyone i know. Nothing bad happens to them but the dream settings gets messed up. It's not a scary dream but it's a bad dream. I now wake up like 40 minutes when i'm suppose to now. that a musician/artist that I really really adore a lot, who was such an inspiration to me, committed suicide a few days ago. it's so incredibly unhappy and shocking. he seemed like such a gentle soul. his music is some of the most beautiful and deeply underrated of every time and his lyrics were always poetry. I can`t believe he`s gone.. and at his possess hand. it makes me want to sob but I can hardly believe it's even true. it seriously seems unreal. I feel like I'm in some weird dream. There are only a few dreams which can put me in a state of absolute terror. One of them is seeing myself barely clinging to something high over the Earth (or sometimes on a very high object on the Earth itself)....and then realising.....that if, at any moment, I am made to fall, that will be it... I realise that once I start falling, that gravitational force will tug me towards the Earth and then, I'll be killed on impact. Some of these dreams are so vivid, that sometimes I'm afraid I'll receive a heart-attack. I think once I *HAD* to fall, and I immediately woke up in a state of absolute terror.

Open Question: Interpret my weird dream please =]?

ok so some backround information first. So I like this guy-let us call him bob for now- and I have liked...Bob since I met him the begining of this year in the drama class we share together. I was not thinking about him before i went to slepp. Also it is valuable to know Im bisexual atleast i think its valuable information anyway so here is the dream -I was in my schools preforming arts building which is were drama class is held and i went to the light both when i saw Bobs Sister(Who i have never met IF he even has a sister) and i really liked her and she liked me so she gave me her phone number, then i walked out of the light booth and down toward the stage but then bob came after me and started telling me not to call his sister and not to date her and i said ok for you i wont. The the scence changes and bobs twin(which he doesnt have) came off the stage after a preformance and he had golden eys that he said were contacts but i never saw him without gold eyes and we started talking and laughing and i guess i really liked him because we ended up holdong hands but then the scene changes again and im lieing down holding Bobs hand and i just somehow know for a fact its bob and i know i am happiest in that moment lieing with bob holding his hand i grin then the dream ends. so what does it mean? well i kinda knew that ok maybe not but is there any hidden meaning or something?

Open Question: Why doesn't Yamaha make any 250cc sport bikes?

My dream bike is an R6 and since I'm a beginning rider i would definitely go with a Yamaha 250 over the Ninja 250 which is more than likely what I'll be getting. I think that a 600 would be too much power. I wouldn't ride balls to the walls but i wouldn't want to wreck an R6. but making a 250 model would be an expansion to beginning riders such as myself.

Open Question: Where did Native American animal spirit Legends start?

I am part Aleut native american and my spirt animal thing was the wolf ( Legend says that you go out in the woods with every of the elements and the first dream that has an animal in it is your animal spirit) I had a dream of a wolf hunting a pack of elk. why and where did this legend start thnx so much And No I am not a huge twilight fan like some gay people

Open Question: Help with dream about ex?!?!?!?

My ex broke up with me in September, and I took it really difficult, but, karma b*tch slapped him when the girl he dated after me broke up with him, breaking his heart. While I secretly liked that, we started talking again.. and I'm starting to have dreams about him, where we are dating, sometimes it's him, other times it's just random guys bodies, but it's still HIM, what does this mean? I just don't receive it... I kinda sorta do still "adore" him, but I doubt he'd ever date me again for fear of hurting me again, plus my parents would never allow it after seeing what I went through. Please help! I'm so confused and have NO CLUE what to do. Should I talk to him about it? Should I steer clear? HELP!!

Open Question: Idk how to put this in a question...uhm help.?

Theres this Guy named Garret at my school. I met him through a boy pal who is not my ex. Iv talked to him over txt and at the beginning he was mean in a silly way but he was just kidding around. Since then we would txt back and forth and we both started being really mean to eachother. Calling eachother short, faggs, and not in a playful way. Then on March 5th we had another one of those and i called him short, he was like whatever b*tch thats not my fault its genetics so i said whatever shorty. and he was like well mabey me being short is a result of...some stiff thats happened, but he didnt self pit himself by no means. That night we really opened up to eachother and i felt a connection. We stopped talking when it got tardy and i texted him the next day. (I had an idea that he deleated my number because weve deleated eachothers number before, then got it back) he replyed whose this? I felt like crying and i just said nvm and we havent talked since. I look him at school everyday during lunch and we just slightly glance at eachother. Im head over heels for this guy and i cant receive him off my mind. I think about him 24/7 hell iv even dreamed about this guy.! But hes not the type of guy who wants a gf (and he's not gay) My question is, why is he not talking to me.? Does he hate me because he told me everything and i told him my deepest secreate that even my bestfriends dont know.? My bestfriend Kelso said hes been alot nicer to her since and hes usually a tottal a**. Whats up with this guy.?

Open Question: Why are my dreams coming true?!?

I don't understand this but for about the past 4 mouths I will have a dream and it's a dream were I will be looking at a object and memorize everything about this object. With in the week I will end up picking up that object... and recently I have been having dreams about someone coming up to me and saying something, and with in the week that person arrive up to me and says it! What the hell does this mean??!! please help! This is not a joke also sometimes in school I will blank out and not be with in the moment, my friends always ask if I'm okay after this happens... could any of this mean something? really.. I want true facts and stuff

Open Question: Interpret my dream last night?

I had a odd dream. I dreamed that I was a rat and I was walking on land, as I kept walking my back was slowly developing wings as I got bigger. Then I turned into a falcon and then I flew in the air and was coming to this high mountain, it was right below me. My flying slowed down and I was landing slowly and safely, but while I was landing I was slowly loosing my form and becoming a little tiny, baby chipmunk and then I walked off the cliff and then when I was falling to the water I was not forming. But right when I hit the water, the splash covered everything up, and when the splash uncovered, I was a trout and I jumped up from the water like trouts do and when I landed back in the water I swam away quickly. Then it changed my dream. I was standing in human form on a two way railroad, my eye closed. Then boom! A train hit me and my ghost came out on the train track right beside it and I just floated there and another train hit me and when both of the trains were gone *at the same exact time they left view* then I seen my ghost lying on the ground dead, along with my human body. Then I woke up. Any of these dreams mean anything?

Open Question: I want kid's he doesn't what now?

So my bf and i have been together about 2 years now.We bought our possess home and we both have very good jobs I am 25 he is 27,when we first started going out he said he wanted to adopt or wait until he was older to have kids,now he is saying he does not want kids and if i want kids to adopt or find someone else. This upsets me greatly obviously im torn,i adore him and what we have but i don't want to give up my dream of having kids-while on the same hand i don't want him to be forced into having kids. So im torn , i want kids and everyone is telling me that i'd better find someone who also want's kids because it isn't fair for either one of us but i just don't know what to do.Plus on top of every of this i saw an email he had printed out from an ex saying how he can't wait to have kids with her and look how they are like the both of them so that was like a slap in the face on top of that. I don't want to leave him and start every over but i don't know if i have a choice. No-he's not cheating on me.never would i found the email in a box of random papers when we were moving
